About Us

vana origin founder

Our Story

Vana Origin was born in the mist-covered hills of Meghalaya, Northeast India a land of extraordinary biodiversity, ancient farming traditions, and soils untouched by industrial agriculture. Here, where rainfall is among the highest on earth and forests meet farmland, nature does the work that no factory ever could.

From the farms of Meghalaya to your kitchen

We partner directly with small-scale, chemical-free farmers across Meghalaya to bring you single-origin spices and seasonings of exceptional purity. Every batch is traceable to a single farm, a single harvest, a single community.

Our range includes organic sesame seeds, raw turmeric, whole black pepper, sun-dried ginger powder, and many more, each carrying the unique terroir of its origin. No blending. No fillers. No compromise.

Why single-origin spices?

Most spices on supermarket shelves are blended from multiple countries, processed at high heat, and stripped of their natural oils and character. Single-origin means you get the real thing, the actual flavour, aroma, and nutritional integrity that makes Meghalaya spices unlike anything else you've tasted.

When you buy from Vana Origin, you know exactly where your spice was grown, who cultivated it, and how it was harvested. That's full traceability, from soil to shelf.

The people behind every jar

Our farmers are not suppliers. They are stewards of land their families have tended for generations. We pay above fair-trade prices, work on long-term agreements, and reinvest in the communities that make Vana Origin possible. When you choose us, you're supporting a living, breathing food ecosystem in one of India's most ecologically rich regions.

Quality you can trust

Every batch of our artisan spices is sun-dried or stone-processed to preserve natural oils, tested for purity and moisture, and packed in small batches to guarantee freshness. No artificial preservatives. No irradiation. Just honest, premium-quality spices, the way they've always been.

Our promise

Transparent sourcing. Chemical-free farming. Fair prices for farmers. And flavour that reminds you why spices used to be called gold.
